Pietro Lombardo used to be the owner of a very "en vogue" Italian restaurant in the heart of former West Berlin. When he moved to the Algarve 15 years ago, his dream was to see his son taking over his Ristorante Grissino soon. 
Yet Andrea took his time to study the art of preparing food before he continued the family tradition. Andrea enjoyed an excellent professional training with some of the best Michelin Star Chefs of Italy. Piero Lombardo hat 25 Jahre lang ein gefragtes Italienisches Restaurant am Kurfürstendamm in Berlin geführt. Als er sich vor fast 15 Jahren in der Algarve niederliess, hoffte er, dass sein Sohn Andrea das kleine gemütliche Ristorante Grissino bald weiterführen würde. 
Doch Andrea entschied sich, die Kunst des Kochens professionell zu erlernen bevor er in seines Vaters Fusstapfen treten und die Familientradition fortführen würde. Andrea lernte mit einigen der besten Sterneköchen Italiens. Diese Schule sowie Andreas Talent und Liebe zum Detail zeigen sich in seinen feinsinnigen und köstlichen Kreationen, welche sich immer an der traditionellen Kalabresischen und Toskanischen Küche inspirieren.
